Education Program

Palm Valley Animal Center provides a variety of programs for the community.  We give presentations to schools, Service Clubs, Women’s groups, Religious groups as well as children of all ages.

Presentations include the following:  caring for pet – the basics – food, water, proper identification, shelter and love! Love! Love!, compassion and respect to all animals, job opportunities in the animal welfare organization (Career Days), the importance of animal health – vaccinations for Rabies and other animal diseases, heartworm prevention and last but not least, the importance of spaying/neutering our pets.

Power Point presentations are provided for an assortment of curriculums.  Educational literature is provided for students of all ages from pre-kinder to University students.  Comprehensive activities are provided for elementary school students.

Upon request a representative will attend Health Fairs across the Rio Grande Valley to share with the community the importance of pet health, the myths and facts about spaying or neutering  and of pet vaccination.
